Without Distrust

God loves us without distrust.

Let that sink in.

What I mean is that though we sin every day, though we constantly let God down, though we are not perfect, God trusts us.

His love is open. His love is always ready to give another chance. When God placed Adam and Eve in the garden, He already knew they would sin. But He entrusted them with the entire world anyway.

The animal loves without distrust. A dog will love its owner to the end. Even when its master makes mistakes, the dog loves him.

How much more, then, does God love and trust you?

Trust Him. He’ll take care of the rest.

I now sport a finely combed mustache to celebrate the release of my new newsletter, Catholic Cat Investigates. …Still not a loaf of bread. Got Spirit?
